Q: What kind of meat do you use?

Q: What is your shipping speed?

A: We strive to get your order out the door within 3-5 business days. Due to the small batch process and our rural location, please allow 1-2 weeks from the date you place your order for delivery.

Q: Are there any allergens in your jerky? What safety measures do you take to limit allergen exposure?

A: All of our jerky contains soy, some flavors also contain wheat or milk products, all are clearly labeled on our website for your safety. In the Bootleg kitchen, we take all necessary precautions to prevent cross contamination.

Q: Is the jerky gluten free?

A: Every flavor except Kentucky Bourbon Barbeque which uses a soy sauce in their recipe that contains gluten.

Q: Are there nitrates/natrites in the marinade?

A: The soy sauce used in the marinade contains potassium sorbate/sorbic acid which is a preservative used to prohibit microbial growth in cheese, wines, dried meats, dehydrated fruits, yogurt and soft drinks. No sodium nitrite or sodium nitrate is added to the marinades.

Q: Do you have a teriyaki flavor?

A: All of our marinades are built on a teriyaki base with added flavor profiles.

Q: What is the shelf life of your jerky?

A: Based on the limited scope of the testing process, the shelf life of vacuum packed jerky is a minimum of two years.
